Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire
Platform: Nintendo 64 / PC
Number of Players: 1
Difficulty: Medium
Replay Value: Low

Although this game is pretty old, we here at the B H G felt that it deserved some attention. After all, it was the first Star Wars game for the N64. At first glance, the visuals were amazing. The game combines different types of gameplay; some levels involve flying a snowspeeder or the Outrider, while others have Dash running around Echo Base, all in 3D environments. The game does get amazingly boring after the first two or three levels, particularly when Dash is on foot, but it does regain some excitement in the last few levels. I strongly recommend renting it, but I'm not so sure about buying it.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
Platform: Nintendo 64 / PC
Number of Players: 1
Difficulty: Hard
Replay Value: Medium

After months of waiting for this title to be released, LucasArts has delivered! Rogue Squadron boasts incredible graphics, even without the expansion pak, awesome sound, and great gameplay. But it is not without its faults. The control takes some getting used to, and some of the targets are hard to hit. Extra hard objectives also make it extremely frustrating in some missions. When there is a lot of action on-screen, the game tends to slow down and may get choppy. It's a shame there is no multiplayer. All in all though, this is a game definitely worth renting, and maybe buying eventually.

Star Wars: Rebellion

At first glance, this may seem like the ultimate Star Wars game, but I assure you it is not, at least for me. I thought it would be like WarCraft and Command and Conquer, but it is not. It is extremely hard to figure out. I gave it no replay value because I did not play it enough to see if it had any replay value. If you don't get fed up trying to figure it out, it may turn out to be a good game.

Dark Forces
Platform: PC/Playstation
Number of Players: 1
Difficulty: Medium
Replay Value: High

This is the best Star Wars game for the PC ever. It encorporates awesome graphics and gameplay into one action packed game. The weapons are really cool. Some of the levels are very long and hard, especially level three. There are lots of puzzles to solve and bosses to fight, which makes for a great game.

Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight
Platform: PC
Number of Players: 1
Difficulty: Medium
Replay Value: High

The sequel to Dark Forces, Jedi Knight is another milestone on the imressive LucasArts list of games. It has cool cut scenes, excellent gameplay, and a good story/plot line. The camera angles are a little confusing, and they don't get any easier to use as the game progresses. This is especially frustrating against quick opponents who can fly or jump high.
